Week 3

Sky Bridge

Made a few changes to my original bridge rough draft and came up with this.

Land Bridge

Made a few changes to my second bridge also.

New Bridge

I started out trying to make something to go with my bridges and castle in the sky and instead wound up with this. I'm pretty happy with it. Then I noticed my flowers are in the water instead of on the ground :( I'd like to add a bird but I haven't got one yet and maybe a bit more vegetation around the ground/water edges. Made all parts of the bridge myself and created the flowers in a plant program. I hope that I can make those changes I mentioned and post by the weekend a finished version. As always, critique and suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

Gotta make lots of changes, not happy with the castle being so reflective. Any ideas are welcome, I'm at a loss as to which way to go with this.

Week 2

Attic Final

This was all I could do with the time I had. I wish it were more cluttered and dusty and I forgot to add a string to the light. But its time to move on to the next assignment. One thing I think I will do different in the future is I will make sure the floor is at zero on the 'Y' plane. I was almost done this render last night when I realized my flower bowl was floating and so I redid it and thats why I'm submitting this at 4am! Also, my box texture went from bad to worse. Will have to work on that if I ever want to use them again

second draft

Needs lots of help. But its a start. I'll have to smooth the polys on the vase and add a string for the light. And add a bump texture to the boxes so they don't turn grey in the shadows. Anything else?

While I was waiting for my second draft to finish rendering, thought I'd slip in a picture of the real attic. Yes, it is always this messy. Oh and it has everything but the kitchen sink, the item right in front of the chimney is our old bathroom sink.

I am way behind, its taken me days to put this together. Needs lots of stuff but I thought I'd show it how it looked before I moved in, its modeled after my real attic except the nails aren't sticking thru the ceiling like in my real one.

Week 1

Final Version

Still needs work but for the class assignment this is the final version.

First Draft

Made the flowers in plant studio and this is just a WIP, I still need to add much more and play with the textures but I wanted to get this in before tomorrow. So any ideas are welcome for how to improve this image. I'm still trying to decide if I build my own mushroom or d/l one.
